GovLoop Insights Interview with Censeo CEO, Raj Sharma: "Procurement Summit – How to Empower the CIO"
Washington, D.C., April 30, 2014–Censeo Consulting Group CEO, Raj Sharma, was recently interviewed with GovLoop Insights/DorobekINSIDER program, about the potential for change in IT procurement after the rollout of healthcare.gov.
He discussed why procurement is the biggest challenge government faces right now and why empowering CIOs to take charge is key to improving procurement. He also discussed other potential solutions to tackle procurement issues including recent proposed legislation, attempts to introduce more agile development into the process, and the need for the government to utilize a pilot approach.
“I am honored to be able to address the government procurement process on the GovLoopsInsights/DorobekINSIDER Program,” said Mr. Sharma. “We need to really be very specific about the procurement outcomes we’re trying to achieve, then we can start to say, ‘How are we going to stage gate this? What are the most basic capabilities that are needed? How do we engage the market?”
