Washington SmartCEO Announces the 2016 GovStar Awards Finalists

45 government contracting leaders to be honored in SmartCEO’s GovStar program

Washington, DC (October 5, 2016) — Washington SmartCEO is pleased to announce the 2016 GovStar Awards finalists. The GovStar Awards celebrate Washington-area government contractors that have demonstrated excellence in the complex and competitive government contracting sector. The 2016 GovStar finalists collectively generate more than $6.5 billion in annual revenue and employ more than 27,000 individuals in Greater Washington. This year’s finalists will be profiled in the November/December issue of Washington SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on November 21, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Reston.

The GovStar Awards ceremony on Nov. 21, 2016 is an expected sell-out event where more than 500 local executives and guests will gather to celebrate and honor Washington’s leading government contractors for their growth, innovation, corporate culture, warfighter and veteran support and industry impact. The event will kick off with a networking reception, followed by a video-packed awards ceremony that will announce winners in the following categories: Star Performer, Star Warfighter, Star Workplace, Technical Trailblazer and Industry Star.
