GovLoop Insights Interview with Censeo CEO: "Healthcare.gov: A Procurement or Program Problem?"

Washington, D.C., November 25, 2013–Censeo Consulting Group CEO, Raj Sharma, recently interviewed with GovLoop Insights/DorobekINSIDER program, on issues surrounding the newly launched Healthcare.gov stating that the problems are broader than procurement and have more to do with how government does large programs.  He then explained that defining outcomes matters and once those outcomes are agreed upon, engaging the right players is very important.

“It’s great to be able to address large problems facing our government on a show like GovLoopsInsights/DorobekINSIDER Program,” said Mr. Sharma.  “And we believe we can help fix this by having a conversation. And with our new online community, Public Spend Forum, we can gather the community and not only address theses issues head on.”

Public Spend Forum is a new online community focused on providing policymakers, procurement professionals and suppliers with a dynamic and thoughtful forum for discussion and debate, becoming the premiere global destination for public procurement.

“It’s worth noting that, while the procurement process is certainly a major problem—particularly in massive programs like the Affordable Care Act’s implementation—the issues are a direct result of how little attention leadership in government pays to a function that doles out more than $500 billion a year in the federal government, and more than $1.9 trillion across the United States,” said Mr. Sharma.
